Ruder Finn picks up MontBlanc PR task

BEIJING - International luxury brand MontBlanc has picked Ruder Finn China to handle its public relations account.

The decision, which displaces 12-month incumbent Edelman, boosts Ruder’s hold on parent brand Richemont’s business, with the network also handling sister brand Cartier’s communications brief on a project basis. The retainer agreement will see Ruder Finn take over the brand’s broader communications strategy and media relations, along with providing PR support surround MontBlanc’s events business.

“Our remit will focus on brand enhancement, ensuring that MontBlanc communicates more than technical benefits, but also emotional appeal across the board to its target consumers,” said Jean-Michel Dumont, EVP and MD, Ruder Finn North Asia.

Ruder’s luxury client list includes Hermés, Bang & Olufsen and Sephora.
