Plaza Hollywood captures first wave of 1200 cruise visitors from the newly opened Kai Tak Cruise Terminal

The newly opened Kai Tak Cruise Terminal last night welcomed its first group of over 3,000 visitors on board the 'Mariner of the Sea'. With its close proximity to the terminal, Plaza Hollywood in Diamond Hill offered free shuttle buses to the visitors and gift packs of HK$500 (US$65) in coupons. The mall predicted that each cruise tourist will spend $2,000 to $5,000, and boost its sales by HK$2.5 million. Four more large cruise ships are expected to arrive in Hong Kong this year.
