BBH Asia-Pacific wins global Chupa Chups account

SINGAPORE - Perfetti van Melle, the confectionary and chewing gum maker, has appointed BBH Asia-Pacific as global agency of record for its Chupa Chups lollipop brand.

BBH Asia-Pacific wins global Chupa Chups account

The account joins Perfetti brands Mentos and Frisk on BBH’s global client list, but Chupa Chups is BBH’s first global client to be run out of Singapore.

The business was won after a presentation for an Asia-Pacific brief. No other agencies were involved.

John Hadfield, MD of BBH Asia Pacific, said: The client liked our strategy and work so much that what started out as an idea for Asia has gone global. Chupa Chups deserves great work. We look forward to delivering this together.

A new BBH-created campaign is scheduled to run across Asia-Pacific and Europe later this year.

Davide Zanolini, director, international candy brands, Perfetti Van Melle, said: We chose BBH to lead our global brand campaign because we love their ideas and they understand the very essence of the Chupa Chups brand.

So far they have produced work that is aligned with our global vision. BBH has proven to be a trusted partner globally and we look forward to seeing more exciting work from them throughout this campaign.
