CWT expands mobile air booking to Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia

Travel management company Carlson Wagonlt Travel (CWT) has expanded its mobile air booking offering to Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, among 20 other markets around the world such as US, UK, Canada and Switzerland.

The service was previously piloted in early 2017 prior to its commercial launch in Q2 2018. CWT cites several features of the mobile air booking offering including the "best time to book" indicator, content on low-cost carrier, client rates and preferred airlines. The system also supports the global distribution system. A typical domestic booking can be done in 60 seconds from start to finish, CWT says.

Meanwhile, the myCWT app launched since 2013 include features such as hotel bookings for 850,000 hotels worldwide, calendar synching and traveler profile integration.

An early analysis carried out by CWT shows that clients with air booking capability see a 30% shift from offline to online.
