Euro RSCG Sydney promotes four to head creative leadership group

SYDNEY - Euro RSCG Sydney has restructured its creative department, naming four internal candidates as joint creative group heads.

Dave Ladd, Chris Johnson, Alex Evangelinidis, and Peter Maniaty have all been promoted to the joint role, reporting to executive creative director Steve Coll. All promotions have taken effect immediately.

Coll says each will be in charge of a specific area of business, a change from the flatter structure the agency used previously. Johnson and Ladd will take on responsibility for Euro RSCG's Reckitt Benckiser and Fairfax accounts; Evangelinidis will cover another section of the Reckitt Benckiser, including for its suboxone (methodone alternative) pharmaceutical product; while Maniaty will handle Euro's Pernod Ricard work.

Coll told Campaign the promotions came on the back of a resurgent agency and client list. "It takes a particularly strong character to help turn an agency around, and these guys have been a key part of starting that process here," he said. "There’s a way to go. But after a very long dry spell at the agency, we’ve started picking up creative awards at the tougher shows. Better still, those awards are being won for integrated work. It’s a credit to these guys, and I am delighted with these promotions.”

Coll said the new leadership group would help to further the agency development over the coming months.
