Oasis Airlines shuts down

HONG KONG - Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, after just 17 months of operation, has gone into liquidation.

KPMG’s Edward Middleton and Patrick Cowley were this morning appointed provisional liquidators of Oasis Hong Kong Airlines Limited and Oasis Growth and Income Investments Limited by order of the high court of the Hong Kong SAR.

The airline has accumulated losses of as much as HK$1 billion (US$128 million) and is losing more than HK$1 million a flight.
