TOKYO - Publicis Groupe has overhauled its Japanese operations, folding its Publicis Japan agency into Dentsu joint-venture Beacon Communications and Fallon Tokyo.

Publicis Japan folds into sister agencies

Most of Publicis Japan's business will go into Beacon, while the L'Oreal teams will be fed into Fallon Tokyo. The move also sees the PR firm MS&L, which has been managed by Publicis Japan to date, become a separately run entity. “Our clients will benefit enormously from the strengthening of our operations in Japan," said Bertrand Siguier (pictured), EVP, Publicis Groupe.

"By joining teams at Publicis Japan with Beacon, our long-standing joint venture with our esteemed strategic partner Dentsu, we will be ensuring that clients have access to a richer and larger talent pool.

He added: Fallon Tokyo, which has been going from strength to strength, will benefit from the arrival of Publicis Japan’s luxury team. And MS&L Japan will emerge as a much more dynamic player as a fully independent entity.”
