SINGAPORE - Publicis Singapore continues to boost its digital business with an announcement today that it is hiring the 22 staff members of iNeo Solutions, a digital and social media agency in Singapore.

Kelvin Koo, former CEO of iNeo, has been appointed as head of digital for Publicis Singapore.

Lou DelaPena, CEO of Publicis Singapore, stressed that the move cannot be termed an acquisition. “Very simply, iNeo will no longer exist," she said. "They have decided to join Publicis as full-time employees.”

The move is a great addition given Singapore's importance in Publicis' regional platform, said Loris Nold, CEO of Publicis Asia-Pacific. “We will continue strengthening our digital offering across the region, as we want to provide the best solutions to our clients in their digital transformation,” he said.

iNeo, which launched over a decade ago, specialises in search-engine optimization, social media and community management. Publicis will inherit INeo's top clients including Scoot, Tangs, Changi Airport Group, BreadTalk and Virgin Active Singapore.

“iNeo is one of the most dynamic, passionate and effective digital practitioners I’ve ever met,” DelaPena said. “The combination of their outstanding work and entrepreneurial spirit match the values we have.

According to Koo, the decision to join Publicis will take his team to the next level. “Combining Publicis Singapore’s creative pedigree and the depth of our digital expertise, the team is extremely excited about taking our work to the next level, not just in the digital space but across all channels.”

Earlier this year, Publicis Groupe acquired Lighthouse Digital in South Africa and Dallas-based agency Hawkeye. Last year, it picked up a majority stake in London-based Walker Media.
