With more than 10 years of experience in integrated marketing in advertising, media, retail and content development, he will be responsible for client business development and will build on the company’s core offerings which comprise marketing communications, public relations, digital, mobility and creative solutions.

Quek joins from Moove Media, whereby he was the head of digital and new media, providing extensive knowledge in client management and consultation to industries such as FMCG, fashion, tourism, airlines, hospitality, financial and banking services.

Watermelon Communications, a PR agency with its roots in the UAE, opened the Singapore office in August last year to service clients with a foothold in both markets.

Madhu Kuttat, managing director at Watermelon Communications, noted that Quek’s expertise will help strengthen the agency’s ability to offer comprehensive media communication solutions to its clients.

“He will play an important part in the growth and success of our Singapore office, with his proven ability to lead, grow business, and inspire others, enabling us to build on the remarkable momentum that we have established so far. Also, his expertise in digital media offerings will help us in reaching out to a new set of clients across Singapore and the region.”

Commenting on the appointment, Quek said he's thrilled to take on this challenge to further expand the company’s presence in Singapore. "We are well positioned to leverage the enormous business development opportunities and I am excited about being a part of this growth trajectory. I look forward to working with the existing dynamic team to attain our objectives not just in Singapore but also for a possible expansion into other Southeast Asian markets.”
