ASIA-PACIFIC - Turner International has named Sony Pictures veteran Ricky Ow as president of Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific three months after the announcement that Steve Marcopoto would step down as president and managing director, following a restructuring that saw the company cut 30 per cent of its workforce in the region.

'Soul in Metropolis' photography exhibition created by Hong Kong refugees
As part of its ongoing CSR initiatives, Turner Broadcasting worked with the Chungking Mansion Service Centre on a charitable auction of photographs taken by refugees living in Hong Kong. The organisation's arts therapy program provides this vulnerable group with a meaningful way to learn, heal and grow. The photographs sold at the event, which took place on 28 August at the Kee Club, raised more than HK$350,000 (US$45,126), all of which goes back to support the programme.
