Martell VSOP | The Ultimate Start-Up Space | Singapore

Cognac brand Martell VSOP has paired with Standard Chartered and graduate business school INSEAD to encourage entrepreneurship in Singapore.

The Ultimate Start-up Space’ audition begins today to invite individuals with a strong business mindset to submit their own business proposals. Martell has reserved a 760-square-foot shop space at Clarke Quay in Singapore. Offering a grand funding of US$14 thousand and free rental for six months, the initiative invites participants to upload a minute-long video application with a brief summary of their business ideas by 12 February.

INSEAD and Standard Chartered will provide business and entrepreneurship coaching to the top ten finalists with the most innovative projects. The ultimate winner will gain admission to the INSEAD executive education programme and the opportunity to turn the idea into reality.

Public users can also register to rate their favorite ideas to win HP Mini computers.

Calling the campaign a “dream incubator”, Paul-Robert Bouhier, managing director at Pernod Ricard Singapore said, “Through the brand’s dedicated support and funding, we believe ‘The Ultimate Start-up Space’ will provide the perfect opportunity to enable a visionary to take that first crucial leap in propelling his or her business dream into reality.”

The campaign is linked to Martell’s long-running ‘Rise Above’ theme, which has celebrated talent and aspiration since 2007. The Rising Personalities Awards are given out every year, with winners including chef and restaurateur Willin Low and theatre director Loretta Chen.
