BBH Asia-Pacific conceptualised the series and appointed activeTV to develop and produce the eight episodes of which the first aired last night. The programme’s media placement with MediaCorp was handled by MEC Access.

‘Can You Serve?’ provides insights into the varied and diverse challenges in the service industry as well as the immense opportunities on offer.

Contestants’ customer service skills are put to the ultimate test in various challenging roles across different service-oriented industries for cash prizes and training opportunities.

The reality TV format allows the potentially dry subject matter to be tackled in a “fun, engaging and entertaining manner”, according to a statement.

Commenting on the TV series, Noel Yeo, creative director at BBH Asia-Pacific, said: “Everyone has an opinion on service, but few of us appreciate just what goes into getting it right. The show takes us straight to the heart of what the service industry really faces.”

The reality-TV series is believed to be spearheaded by the Go the Extra Mile for Service (GEMS) movement, a local initiative to boost the city-state's service sector.

Hosted by model and celebrity Denise Keller (pictured), watch the series’ trailer below.
