With over 20 years' experience in the marketing and advertising industry, Ochosa commenced his career as an account manager in advertising agencies.

He joined the San Miguel Corporation and had held positions in both the marketing and sales area before moving to the media side to manage a number of media properties in radio and television for various networks.

In 2004 he joined GroupM where he was tasked with growing the branded content space as director for entertainment, sports and partnerships.

On his appointment, Ashish Bhasin, chairman India and CEO for Southeast Asia at Aegis Media, said: "We are delighted to have Mike join us to run our business in the Philippines. His background highlights his extensive knowledge of the industry and this experience will add even more depth to our talented team."
