DBS appoints SingTel's Melvin Lim as marketing director

SINGAPORE - DBS has appointed Melvin Lim to the newly created role of marketing director. Lim was previously deputy director for segment marketing at SingTel.

Lim sits within the Consumer Banking Group for both DBS and POSB brands, with responsibility for marketing activities across credit cards, loans, investments, insurance and priority banking.

DBS has recently stepped up its marketing efforts in Singapore with the launch of several new innovative activities, including the 1 per cent Unit Trust campaign in December.

Lim has over 20 years marketing experience, including nine years working on the Tiger Beer brand, where his roles included International sponsorships manager and regional brand development. He will report directly to Jeremy Soo, head of consumer banking at DBS.

Last February, DBS appointed Euro RSCG and MPG as its creative and media agencies-of-record respectively.
