Dentsu Aegis appoints Philippines CEO

Taking over from Donald Lim, JC Catibog will focus on building integrated offerings across the network's agencies.

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has appointed JC Catibog, most recently MD of BBDO South China, as the CEO for its Philippines operations. He replaces Donald Lim, who took the role two years ago and is leaving the company for a client-side role, according to a statement.

Beginning February, Catibog will will set the overall strategy for the network in the Philippines, ensuring integrated offerings from its agencies: Dentsu Jayme-Syfu, Aspac, Carat, Vizeum, Dentsu X, Posterscope, iProspect and DGility.

Catibog will report to Ashish Bhasin, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network APAC.

A Philippines native, Catibog has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi and has worked in Jakarta, Greater China and New York. "I am ... excited to be part of a highly innovative team who has been doing fantastic work in the Philippines and all over the world,” he said.
