Edelman Digital bolsters global team

GLOBAL - Edelman has beefed up its worldwide digital capabilities, adding David Armano (pictured) as an SVP in New York, and naming a new head of digital strategy in India.

Armano joins from social media consultancy The Dachis Group where he spent eight months. Prior to joining Dachis, he has worked stints at Critical Mass, Digitas and Agency.com. His blog, Logic+Emotion, is ranked as one of the top media and marketing blogs by AdAge.

Armano will report to Edelman Digital president Rick Murray.

In India, Karthik S joins Edelman from Text 100 Bangalore. He is one of the country's leading music bloggers at Milliblog and ItwoFS. He also blogs about social media and Indian brands at Beast of Traal.

At Text 100 In Bangalore, he oversaw new business and social media. He will focus on developing Edelman's digital offering in India.

'Karthik will play a key role in our transition to a more digitally oriented business model,' said Robert Holdheim, MD and country head, Edelman India.

Separately, Nicholas Archer has departed his role as EVP and head of risk and crisis at Edelman New York to relocate to India as VP and global head of PR/reputation management at wind power company Suzlon.
