Events and DMC management association Euromic has appointed Huw Tuckett as its new executive director effective August 2. The news comes following the departure of its long-standing executive director, Christophe Verstraete, in April.

Previously the COO of Uwin and Iwin International South Africa, Tuckett has had over 20 years of global experience in the incentive travel and performance improvement industry.

“Euromic is an association that I have admired and held in high regard for a very long time. I'm also excited to be back in an industry that I'm incredibly passionate about,” he said.

“I'm really looking forward to meeting all of the members and getting to work, building on Euromic's already well-established credentials as one of the most respected associations in the industry.”

According to Euromic’s president Hasan Dinc, the association has been working on strategic plans to address the changing paradigms in the industry and to ensure members remain strong and competitive.

“Many new initiatives have been introduced and are planned for the rest of the year including a cutting-edge communications platform for our membership,” he said.

Euromic is the oldest DMC association in the industry.
