Fleishman Hillard wins Gome's PR business

BEIJING - Fleishman Hillard has been appointed by Gome, one of the biggest electronic appliances retailers in China, to handle its public relations, sources familiar with the agency confirmed.

Fleishman Hillard wins Gome's PR business

Previously, Brunswick was Gome's PR partner. According to an insider, Fleishman Hillard officially "took over the business from Brunswick" at the beginning of March.

This follows the announcement of Gome's 'board restructuring', which ends years of wrangle over control of the company. Zhang Dazhong, founder of Dazhong Electronics, which was acquired by Gome in 2007, will take the helm after its current chairman, Chen Xiao, leaves his post.

Last year, Huang Guangyu, Gome's founder and former chairman, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for illegal business dealings.
