Google today announced the launch of a new platform, ‘Create with Google’, designed for the creative community. The product is being launch in Asia-Pacific first, with a view to rolling it out worldwide.
Create with Google offers all creatives – it estimates there are 90,000 in APAC making ads – the tools, educational resources and programmes to help enhance their storytelling and build brands effectively.
The site includes materials for using Google’s creative tools that users can download and keep for themselves, and a ‘pitch partner’ mock-up tool, which allows creators to uploads videos and see how they appear as a YouTube ad across various devices, thus allowing users to showcase their work to clients.
Around 70% of campaign ROI is down to great creative, according to Think With Google, and Ross Jauncey, head of Create with Google, said the company identified that it needed to do more to support the creative community.
“We want our maker partners in the best position to create ideas that earn the attention of users, which they can be proud of,” he said. “Asia is absolutely buzzing with creativity which is why we started this program here, but we already have big plans to take it worldwide.”
Other features of Create with Google include a searchable archive of the best creative works using Google’s canvas, face-to-face training with the Create with Google team, and an insider’s programme, which gives creators access to in-market influencers who can feed back on their work.
Dave Bowman, creative chief of Google Z00 APAC said: "The creative community in APAC have always punched above their weight on the world stage. And now we're excited to be able to give them the tools to really take their talents to new heights."
