Isobar hires new Taiwan CEO

Industry veteran joins from McCann Worldgroup.

Isobar today announced that Gary Chi has joined the agency as Taiwan CEO.

The newly-created role will see Chi take on Isobar’s growth strategy in Taiwan, focusing on the office’s digital transformation and consultancy capabilities. He arrives from McCann Worldgroup Taiwan, where he was CEO, and had been with IPG since 1998.

Chi has worked with numerous clients in that time, including Coca-Cola, Audi, Adidas, Panasonic and Pizza Hut. He said he “feels privileged” to join Isobar and Dentsu Aegis Network. Chi was also chairman of Taipei’s 4A’s from 2015 to 2017.

He will report to Jennifer Tang, DAN's Taiwan CEO, who said Chi has the leadership skills to develop Isobar’s business in Taiwan.

Jean Lin, Isobar global CEO, said Chi will drive the agency’s ambition to be “deliver digital transformation, powered by creativity,” for clients in Taiwan.
