Malaysia: GFK Asia appoints new GM

KUALA LUMPUR - Market research company GFK Asia has appointed Selinna Chin as general manager of GFK Malaysia with immediate effect.

At GFK, Chin will lead the local team and run the day-to-day functions of the Malaysia office. She will report directly to Stanley Kee, managing director for Southeast Asia. 

"Selinna has an impressive track record in market research and boasts many accomplishments under her belt," Kee said.

Chin, a veteran in the information and techonology industry, spent 18 years at research firm IDC as vice-president for emerging ASEAN markets. Chin started as a consultant for the organisation in 1993 and then moved up to become country manager for Malaysia. She was made responsible for ASEAN markets in 1998.
