Arora, currently based in Singapore as a regional director with Maxus, will assume the position on 1 February, but will begin his transition into the role from mid-January.

Quiogue is set to depart the network at the end of January to take on an undisclosed role on the media owner side.

Mark Patterson, CEO of GroupM Asia Pacific, said he is bullish about the economic and business prospects in the Philippines.

“With our recent digital acquisition of Netbooster and another in the pipeline, together with major new clients who joined us this year, Puneet will have a big job on his hands as we have major ambitions,” he said.

Arora began his career in India as the head of P&G media business, and from there moved on to various product and business roles across Asia, including stints in China, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore.

He was previously part of the senior management team at Starcom in the Philippines for two years, as well as performing roles in various industry bodies, such as readership research and TV measurement technical committees.
