MediaCom Malaysia has named Chanchal Chakrabarti (known as 'CC') as its new managing director, replacing Neal Estavillo, who is leaving the agency after five years at the helm.

Chakrabarti will add Malaysia responsibilities to his existing remit as the Asia-Pacific managing partner. He currently oversees a team of over 100 across several countries and leads the P&G assignment across the Asean region. Following his new appointment, he will relocate from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, where he had previously spent eight years leading Mindshare and Maxus.

Mark Heap, MediaCom APAC CEO, to whom Chakrabarti reports to, said Chakrabati combines talent, market experience and a warm and engaging personality. He also has leadership abilities, understanding of the MNC clients and business ties in Malaysia, Heap added.
