Lin succeeds Erika Wang, who had been with the company for over four years. Her last day was 2 July. She is moving to Yahoo Taiwan as VP of sales later this month.

The new leader will be charged to lead the overall strategic business and brand development, including the oversight and growth of both existing client relationships and new business initiatives at Mindshare Taiwan.

With nearly 20 years' experience in the media and marketing industry in Asia, Lin hails from ValuePlus Communications, a media management consultancy group, where he was GM since 2006. There he helped run 'The China Sky Works' investment project and ‘The Best China to the World' PR campaign, among others.

Lin has worked in senior roles at both OMD and MEC in Taiwan before returning to Mindshare where he began his career.

"Lin's diverse experience in multiple sectors made him the ideal candidate," said Srivastava.

He added: "Lin understands the nuances of the market from every perspective and has a history of driving change and efficiency along the way."

"That will benefit both our clients and our team. We are delighted to have him working with us," he said.
