Patrick Stahle to depart Aegis Media as Nick Waters takes over APAC

ASIA-PACIFIC - Patrick Stahle (pictured) is leaving his role as CEO of Aegis Media Asia-Pacific, to be replaced by Nick Waters, currently CEO EMEA at Mindshare.

Stahle is retiring from the industry to take up what an Aegis Media release describes as a "non-executive career". He has been in the role since 2006, and will depart in the second quarter of 2010.

Waters, 41, began his career at Ogilvy & Mather and was previously Mindshare's CEO in Asia-Pacific. He will join Aegis Media when Stahle departs.

“Patrick will leave large shoes to fill, but we could ask for no better successor to Patrick than Nick," said Jerry Buhlmann, CEO of Aegis Media. "Nick is steeped in our industry and in the region. He has proven experience in winning and managing complex regional business."

"My three years in Asia-Pacific have been particularly rewarding," Stahle added. "I am proud of what we have achieved: reinforcing our leadership position in digital, and winning many new clients, including major international brands such as Fox, Beiersdorf and Nokia."

Media exclusively revealed that there was doubt surrounding Stahle's position in March, when it reported that Aegis Media had hired a headhunter to look for a CEO.
