The goal of the 2010 public relations program is to increase awareness of Schneider Electric's commitment to help all Malaysians "make the most of their energy."
Responding to the win, Felix Heinimann, MD of Essence Communications, said, "With the Malaysian government's recent pledge to reduce carbon emissions, Schneider Electric's innovative solutions towards green technology are more important than ever. Essence Communications aims to underscore the importance of proper energy management to prevent a future crisis."
Commented Mow Li Li, president of Schneider Electric for Malaysia, "Schneider Electric is pleased to be working with Essence Communications to educate the public on the vital role that energy management can play in preventing the 'energy dilemma."
He added, "Since the global demand for electricity is projected to double by 2030 while at the same time world energy consumption will grow by 70 per cent, Schneider Electric hopes to boost understanding that our solutions can be implemented right now to achieve savings and reduce waste."
In the past three months, Essence Communications supported Schneider Electric's presence with local media as well as at international conferences hosted in Malaysia to generate awareness.
As a global leader in energy-efficiency, Schneider Electric’s operations in more than 100 countries offer integrated solutions to deliver energy savings of up to 30 per cent, while also contributing to the fight against climate change.
