StarHub boosts HDTV content in Singapore

SINGAPORE - StarHub TV will be boosting its channel offerings with the launch of seven new HD channels starting from July.

The new HD channels are FOX HD, FX HD, Nat Geo Wild HD and Star World HD, while Food Network Asia HD, Foxcrime HD and Nat Geo Adventure HD will be launched in September.

With the addition of the new channels, the total number of HD channels available on StarHub TV will be increased to 14, making the pay-TV operator the leader in HD content in Singapore.

On its new offering, Avinash Himatsinghani, SVP and GM for Southeast Asia at Fox International Channels, said: "As Asia's largest international network, our launch of six new HD channels on StarHub TV marks a significant milestone for us.

"In addition to the existing National Geographic HD channel, StarHub TV subscribers will have a full suite of HD channels from across multiple genres of entertainment."
