Chen will help to lead and develop Google's relationships with domestic clients, reporting to Scott Beaumont, Google China president.

Chen joins Google from GroupM where he was chief digital officer until September this year, in a string of senior departures from the agency group that include Jim Liu, Eve Lo (to Isobar), Stewart Li (to Dentsu &c), Sara Si (to iProspect), and Alan Fung (to RGP).

Prior to GroupM, Chen was general manager for Dell's consumer business in Greater China. He also worked as the COO for RealNetworks China, Marketing VP for eBay China, and VP of Operations for Yahoo China.
