Tsui promoted to VP OgilvyOne, Actis joins as VP and regional MD for Neo@Ogilvy

HONG KONG - Susana Tsui has been promoted to the role of vice-president of OgilvyOne Asia-Pacific from her previous post of regional president, Asia-Pacific Neo@Ogilvy.

Managing partner with Mediacom China, Chris Actis, will be taking over from Tsui starting June 18 as vice-president and regional managing director for Neo@Ogilvy. He will be moving from China to Hong Kong for this role.

Tsui, who has led Neo in Asia for the last six years, is joining OgilvyOne's regional management team Lucy McCabe and Peter Moss with a focus on operations and the growth side of the business, explained Jerry Smith, president OgilvyOne Asia-Pacific.

In her new role, Tsui will be responsible for the growth of OgilvyOne's business in Asia through operations, acquisitions, partnerships and expanding into new geographies. "She will effectively be my second-in-command," added Smith.

OgilvyOne has plans to expand into new markets, said Smith. "It's premature to say which markets at present, but there is a demand for our type of work, customer data and commerce in markets where OgilvyOne is not yet present, such as emerging markets."

The agency will also be focusing on growing services that are "more aligned with customers", said Smith. "e-commerce, mobile and social CRM will be the big drivers for us next year."

Tsui's track record of driving growth at Neo makes her ideal for the task, added Smith. "We look to her, in her new role, to use her solid operational skills to grow OgilvyOne."

Neo@Ogilvy, led by Actis, will be focusing on performance marketing and performance based media.
Actis has a strong background in media buying both with Mediacom and, before that, with Mediavest in New York.

"We believe that the next generation of media will be focused on performance and really, to some extent, around performance media and marketing—moving from eyeballs to audiences," explained Smith. "Actis has a solid background in these areas and is the perfect person to further develop our service offering and drive the Neo business into the future."
