UK digital agency Precedent expands into Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Precedent, a UK independent digital agency, has opened its seventh global office in the city to deliver specialist services to the higher education sector.

UK digital agency Precedent expands into Hong Kong

Fast approaching its 25th anniversary, Precedent has already established offices across Europe; in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney; and now Hong Kong, which will be its Asia base.

The new office is located in Wan Chai in Hong Kong, and operations began this week.

It is the "vibrancy" of the Asia-Pac student market that drew Precedent founder Paul Hoskins to Hong Kong, having worked with over 50 higher-education institutions worldwide.

"We felt that a hub in China was now a necessity, not a luxury," he commented.

After spending many years helping UK and Australian universities attract domestic and international students, particularly from China, Hoskins is now looking to helping Chinese and Hong Kong universities reverse the flow.

Precedent's most recent work in Asia was for Monash University, for which the agency improved the user experience for Monash’s main website to drive student recruitment/retention, as online learning products and international education-providers created a more competitive environment for Monash.
