Universal Networks International names Hamidah Hashim as head of ad sales

SINGAPORE - Universal Networks International (UNI) has appointed Hamidah Hashim as head of advertising sales.

Hashim will lead a newly expanded ad sales team and will report to Christopher J. Williams, VP of sales and commercial operations, Asia-Pacific.

With over 15 years' experience in media and publishing, she will spearhead the advertising sales initiatives of the entertainment channel's brands in the region.

Hashim will oversee the Asia-Pacific advertising sales teams and will be responsible for developing strategies to provide custom made, integrated solutions for client brands.

She joins after seven years of heading ad sales at Fox International and Star.

On the appointment, Williams said: "Hamidah brings tremendous market insight and depth of experience to Universal Networks International as we structure our ad sales approach and solutions to better service our clients."

Vanessa Chua and Maria Hassouni also join the sales team as account manager and media analyst and planner, respectively.
