FWD invites customers to take the plunge

Spot from DDB Group Hong Kong and MediaMonks says the insurer has you covered for leaps into the unknown, whether literal or figurative.

FWD is launching a regional campaign entitled 'Everyday heroes', developed by DDB Group Hong Kong and the network's other agencies around the region. The spot above, produced by MediaMonks, kicks off the campaign in Hong Kong today, with TV, digital and out of home. Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia will get their own specific work in coming months. In all, the campaign features 12 different scenarios, each of which is based in "a rigorous process of researching local insights from the markets", according to DDB.

The same claim was made about another campaign Ad Nut wrote about today (such a busy creature!). This is a seriously good sign. Ad Nut and colleagues have heard a lot of talk about the importance of local insights, so it's good to see it's not just talk.

This is a nice ad—simple and strong. Ad Nut looks forward to seeing what those other market-specific scenarios may be as the campaign continues.

In Ad Nut's world, 'taking the plunge' would be a bad thing. But of course we squirrels are far too adept at climbing trees and scampering across power lines to ever need insurance.
