It is not often busy five-star properties undergo major renovations, but that’s exactly what has been happening at Hilton Osaka. Over the past four years, the entire hotel has been revamped from top to toe, with stunning new facilities and furnishings in all guest rooms, banquet facilities, restaurants and public spaces.
All-new offering
Hilton Osaka offers 562 rooms and suites, including 35 new rooms plus a refurbished and extended Executive Lounge. Guest rooms are located between the 10th and 34th floors, ensuring stunning city and river views. Rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities as well as regional touches such as sliding window covers known as shoji, timber floors and pyjamas or cotton kimonos.
Osaka is also famous for its cuisine, and is known as the ‘food bowl’ of Japan for good reason—the 2018 Michelin Guide to Japan recommended 227 restaurants in Osaka alone. And at Hilton Osaka, four new dining stars are about to join the scene showcasing regional beef, seafood, vegetables and the very best seasonal flavours.
By August 2018, more than US$25 million of F&B renovations will be completed and the new dining spaces unveiled: a 116-seat all-day dining outlet; a 64-seat grill restaurant with a wine room; and a 90-seat Japanese restaurant serving sushi, teppanyaki, kaiseki and equipped with its own sake bar. These outlets will complement MYPLACE CAFE & BAR, and the hotel’s famed 35th-floor Windows on the World Sky Lounge.
MYPLACE CAFE & BAR is part of an all-new F&B offering.
Memorable events
Hilton Osaka offers more than 3,530 sqm of well-equipped event space, including three dedicated floors connected by both elevators and escalators. In April, two new banquet rooms with a connecting foyer opened on the third floor, taking its total number of banquet rooms to 15. The new Kyoto and Nara rooms both seat 90 dinner guests in plush surroundings, reminiscent of a private mansion.
The Sakura Ballroom can seat 1,000 guests theatre style or 600 for banquets. On the fourth floor below there are three good-sized meeting rooms. All this is backed by a meetings team with years of experience.

The city at your door
When it comes to a busy metropolis like Osaka, getting the location right is key to your event’s success. Hilton Osaka is directly linked to Osaka Station and is surrounded by several luxurious shopping malls and department stores, plus famous Dotonbori is nearby. As the region’s main transportation hub, Osaka Station connects to Kyoto, Kobe and Nara within 30 minutes. For a fun team-building experience, Universal Studios and Osaka Castle are just 15 minutes away.
For delegates arriving by plane, Kansai airport connects Osaka to all gateway cities in Asia, major European capitals and the US. Hilton Osaka is one of the few hotels in the city to offer a connecting airport limousine bus from the airport every 20 minutes.
