Most recently, Powell was head of the client strategy team at Fairfax digital, where he specialised in vertical category digital strategy in addition to video and online behavioural advertising.

Orginally from UK, he has spent the last seven years in Sydney at other agencies such as GPY&R and OMD, managing tech clients including ISPs across both traditional and digital media.

In his new role Powell will be responsible for growing existing accounts and devising new business streams, and report to APAC MD John Massey.

“New Zealand, Hong Kong and India offer us the opportunity to grow the business and a senior player who can apply our learnings from Australia to fast start these new businesses is a valuable addition to our team,” Massey said. “With his publisher and agency background, Adam is ideally suited to look at our market position and devise a roadmap for us to go forward from here.”

DWA ANZ was established in 2006.
