Rowan (pictured) will be based at BT's regional HQ in Hong Kong. Her appointment is effective 1 April. She succeeds Sydney-based Emma Dart who left the company last January.

In her UK role, Rowan was responsible for designing and delivering an integrated UK marketing plan that delivers profitable growth and customer satisfaction targets for BT’s Global Services business.  BT Global Services works with over 1,800 of the UK’s largest organisations from both the public and private sectors.

Previously she ran the global propositions and product marketing team for BT Global Services.

Rowan joined BT in January 2005 from Siebel Systems where she was director of integrated marketing for EMEA. In that role she successfully launched Siebel’s entry into both the hosted CRM space with Siebel CRM-On-Demand in early 2004, and subsequently the broader SMB market with a new strategy encompassing internal resources, partnerships, messaging, targets and product strategy.

She has an honours degree in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford.

Reported on 10 March, BT appointed Ninder Takhar as marketing head for NE Asia.
