Changi Airport Group appoints Weber Shandwick as AOR

The agency will take the account on a two-year contract, beginning 1 August, 2011.

The Changi Airport Group (CAG) manages all commercial and operational activities at Changi Airport in Singapore, which, over its 30-year history, has become the world’s most awarded airport.

It says Weber Shandwick will be charged with helping to promote the airport globally as a vital aviation and retail hub for Asia, as well as supporting the airport’s crisis communications plans. The firm will also contribute to special events and projects and provide strategic counsel.

“The aviation industry is facing challenges from a variety of sources, and is diversifying geographically as well as commercially in order to develop new businesses and grow," said Baxter Jolly, vice-chairman Asia-Pacific, Weber Shandwick. "We are being tasked with creating innovative communications ideas to help CAG reach new audiences effectively.”
