Ng will be responsible for overseeing and shaping the creative direction in the company’s Shanghai office and will report to Michael Dee, chief creative officer of DDB China Group.

Prior to joining DDB Shanghai, Ng held the post of chief creative officer at Euro RSCG Singapore and Southeast Asia since 2009. He started his career as a copywriter at Leo Burnett Singapore and in 2006 he gained the distinction of being the first-ever creative from Asia to work in the firm’s London office.

Over the years, Ng has been awarded Creative Director of the Year by Campaign in 2009, nabbed a Creative Achievement Award at the 2009 New York Festival, and was named one of Singapore’s Most Influential Creative Directors by the Singapore Institute of Advertising in the same year.

Dee notes that Ng’s appointment is pivotal in further strengthening DDB China’s creative capabilities. Dick van Motman, president and CEO of DDB Greater China Group, adds that the appointment would continue to build the company’s senior leadership team and strengthen both individual disciplines and integration.
