SINGAPORE - Dentsu Asia Network will roll out a regional campaign for WWF, in a bid to create awareness on the pertinent environmental issues at the Coral Triangle region, in November.

It will also raise funds for WWF’s marine conservation work in the Asia-Pacific region. The agency was appointed as WWF's marketing communications agency network for this Coral Triangle campaign in December.

The Coral Triangle is known as the ‘nursery of the seas’. Spanning the seas of Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste, it is home to the largest diversity of marine species in the world with more than 500 types of reef-building corals and over 3,000 commercially-valuable fish species.

With the aim of informing the public on pertinent environmental issues facing the Coral Triangle region, this campaign will see a series of region-wide communication initiatives, comprising mass advertising and marine species’ mascot merchandising, designed to help raise funds for marine conservation.

To further reinforce the message, a website will also be launched for members of the public to purchase virtual spots within the Coral Triangle as a pledge to preserve this area’s marine biodiversity.
