Digitas opens in Thailand

New agency absorbs two existing Publicis agencies in the market.

Publicis Groupe today announced the opening of a new Digitas office, in Thailand.

Offering digital, creative, data and strategy services the Bangkok office will be led by managing director Paruj Daorai, who was previously ECD at Leo Burnett Thailand.

Joining Daorai’s leadership team are Santi Tubtimtong, ECD; Worawin Soncharoen, head of strategy; Pornchanok Jirakiertivaddhana, group account director; Nittaya Saelim, head of digital production; and Sarinthorn Eiamfang, digital content manager.

They will oversee a 34-person team that is made up of staff brought in from two agencies, Nurun and Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide, that have been consolidated under Digitas. They will service existing clients including Chevrolet, JD Central, Tesco, Krungsri and One Bangkok.

Songkran Sethesompobe, CEO of Publicis Groupe Thailand, said the time was ripe for Digitas to enter Thailand as the country’s digital economy will account for a quarter of GDP by 2027.

“With the launch of global digital network Digitas in Thailand, providing data and technology centric connected digital marketing services to address the need for our customers to win the new economy,” Sethesompobe said.
