WPP Media has appointed Caroline Foster Kenny, former global chief client integration officer at VML, as global client president at EssenceMediacom, and Stephanie Prager, former client president at Spark Foundry, as a global client president.
Foster Kenny will be responsible for overseeing EssenceMediacom's client portfolio, which includes big clients Adidas, Dell, Duracell and Universal. She has more than 15 years of experience at WPP, including leadership roles at Wunderman Thompson and latterly VML, bringing expertise in client integration across WPP, business growth, and organisational transformation. She is a former EMEA chief executive of IPG Mediabrands and, prior to that, was global chief client officer at MEC, now known as Wavemaker.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Foster Kenny said: “I’m so excited to be back at WPP Media, at what I think is probably the most incredible and pivotal time for our industry. It’s an absolute honor to work with this talented team as we focus on driving transformation and growth for our clients. The future of media is being built right here, and I'm humbled to be part of that. Bring it on!”
Foster Kenny is the first global client president to be appointed to an agency-specific role since WPP Media rebranded from Group M and opted to move to a unified structure in which it pledged the “sunsetting” of agency-specific job titles.
The global client president role at sister agency Mindshare is currently vacant.
Susannah Outfin, former chief client officer at Mindshare, left the business this month after three years in the role.
At Wavemaker, global client president roles were previously split into three practices – Fast Growth, Consultancy and B2B. It is unclear at present whether these roles have been combined into a single role to reflect WPP Media’s new unified naming structure.
