Discovery Channel, HP partner on integrated campaign across SEA

SINGAPORE - The Discovery Channel and IT provider HP has partnered for six weeks on an integrated campaign across Southeast Asia for the network’s Mythbusters series and HP’s Folio notebook.

New episodes of the Mythbusters series will be aired across Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia with a spot campaign for the HP Folio featuring on the Discovery Channel, TLC and Animal Planet.

Discovery Channel and HP will be running an online contest to win a trip to the Mythbusters lab in San Francisco or an HP Folio Ultrabook. Roadshows will also be held in Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Dennis Mark, vice president and general manager of Personal Systems Group HP across South Asia and Taiwan, said, “We believe the best way to experience the great features we have packed into the HP Folio would be to ‘touch, feel and test’ the product – in the quintessential Mythbusters fashion."

“We are excited to partner with Discovery Channel for a series of exciting roadshows that bring the HP Folio experience closer to South Asia and Taiwan markets,” he added.
