ESPN appoints vice president for integrated sales

KUALA LUMPUR - Sports content provider ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has expanded its sales team, with the appointment of Anthony Yeap as its vice president, integrated sales.

To be based in Kuala Lumpur, he will report to Adam Zecha, executive vice president, head of sales for SEA. The new appointment will enhance ESS’s Team in Malaysia with a further injection of regional media and advertising sales expertise.

Yeap will spearhead the development of ESS’ business in Malaysia with a focus on four key areas, namely integrated ad sales, EMG advertising and sponsorship sales, production services as well as syndication, with a focus on terrestrial TV rights.

Commenting on the appointment, Zecha said, “We are delighted to have such a seasoned Malaysian media professional join our team as we enter a new year. We look forward to leveraging his in-depth industry knowledge, sales expertise and established leadership to further strengthen our presence and sales growth in Malaysia.”

Yeap was mostly recently with Astro as the vice president, media sales, where he led the sales/marketing team for media sales and was responsible for media sales strategy development and branded content.
