Essence today announced the hiring of Kingshuk Mitra as Asia-Pacific chief operating officer, and Monica Bhatia at vice president, client partner.

Mitra was previously managing director of Maxus Philippines, the former GroupM agency that merged into Wavemaker along with MEC.
