Networked agencies added to the UK scoresheet: Matt Mint, executive director at Omnicom’s MG OMD (UK) was named Account Person of the Year.
Meanwhile, Chime Communications’ VCCP (UK) was named Integrated Marketing Agency of the Year for the second consecutive year, defeating Pablo (UK), Leo Burnett (Taiwan), Impero (UK) and TBWA\SMP (Philippines).
'Obsessive drive to innovate'
More than 200 guests from around the world attended the black-tie dinner event this evening (12 June), at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel in London.
Gideon Spanier, UK editor-in-chief of Campaign, said: “The Global Agency of the Year winners deserve every plaudit: they show that the best shops never stand still. They're constantly reinventing themselves for their clients, and that takes genuine creativity, top talent and an almost obsessive drive to innovate. This year's winners had all of that in spades.
"What gives these awards their authority is that they're judged by the people who really matter – the global marketers who sign the contracts and live with the results.”
Now in their fifth iteration, the global awards are judged by a panel of global and regional chief marketing officers, led by Trix van der Vleuten, chief marketing officer at The Social Hub, with previous roles at Versuni (formerly Philips Consumer Lifestyle), KFC, Kraft Heinz, SABMiller, and PepsiCo.
Having served as a judge for last year’s awards, Van der Vleuten said: “These global awards give weight and credibility to the work, serving as a tangible testament to the agency’s creativity and strategic prowess. Winning not only validates the agency’s expertise, but also strengthens client relationships, instilling confidence that their brand is in capable hands.”
The judging process was audited by MediaSense.
