Former TBWA China head Donald Chan appointed as CEO of JWT China

SHANGHAI - Recently departed CEO of TBWA China, Donald Chan (pictured), has been appointed CEO of JWT China.

Chan will report to JWT North Asia area director and Greater China CEO Tom Doctoroff.

Chan departed TBWA in February after 13 months in the position.

He joined TBWA China in January 2009 from Chinese digital media company In-Game Media. He previously spent 12 years at Leo Burnett in Shanghai and Hong Kong in a number of roles, including managing director of China operations.

At the time, Chan said: “While my career will take a different route I have very high regard for TBWA. The business here in China has been developed very much on the strength of the management team, it’s one of the best in the business and I have every confidence in their continued success.”
