Grayling appoints global heads of business sectors

GLOBAL - Grayling has appointed six worldwide industry-sector heads to streamline its global operations and concentrate its expertise across sectors.

CEO of Grayling, Belgium Russell Patten (pictured), will head up Grayling’s energy, environment and industry business. He is based in Brussels and banks on his experience working with trade associations and European institutions, including the European Express Association, the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and the EU Committee of the Chamber, for which he is currently vice president.

Group deputy managing director and regional director of Eurasia, Stephen Lock, will manage the agency’s healthcare and pharmaceutical business. He will split his time between Moscow and Istanbul and continue to run the agency’s offices in Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus and three bureaus in Central Asia.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt-based Ilka Schwarz will oversee Grayling’s financial and professional services business, as well as continue as managing director of Grayling Germany. CEO of Grayling Connecting Point, the agency’s specialist technology and media telecomms business, Christine Boehlke, will head up technology, media and telecoms and be based in San Francisco.

CEO of Grayling UK, Loretta Tobin, will oversee consumer brands and David Beightol, chief development officer for Grayling’s sister company Dutko Worldwide as well as managing director of Dutko Government Markets, based in Washington, D.C., will manage the agency’s government and public sector.
