Haier calls creative pitch

QINGDAO - The world's fourth largest white goods manufacturer, Haier, has called a creative pitch, with first-stage presentations due to take place before Chinese New Year.

The agencies believed to be involved in the pitch include DraftFCB, Bates141, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis and Team. WE Marketing are said to have declined the invitation.

“The pitch is due to management changes with the client, and coupled with the financial crisis, it hopes to find better solutions from agencies,” a source close to the pitch said.

DraftFCB has been the key roster agency for six years.
