Half of South Koreans own smartphones

SEOUL - Smartphone users now account for 50 per cent of all mobile subscribers in South Korea, based on subscriber data from mobile service providers KT, SK Telecom and LG Uplus.

Since last March, Korea's smartphone userbase has grown by over 16 million
