Health Promotion Board pitches PR retainer account in Singapore currently handled by Edelman
According to the tender document, the public relations agency would be asked “to conceptualise, plan and implement” integrated PR plans for selected programmes under the HPB.

The account is estimated to be worth S$460,000 (US$325,000) and the appointment is for a year with the option to extend for another.

The HPB’s programmes include public education plus promotional and engagement drives on nutrition, mental wellness, smoking control, early detection of diseases and health screenings among others.

The account is currently handled by Edelman. According to a spokesperson from the PR firm, she confirmed that Edelman will be participating in the tender process.

She said: “The Edelman team has an excellent working relationship with the HPB and we’re keen to continue that.”

The spokesperson added: “The 2010 tender reflects a change of scope from the original contract which ends end of March. Edelman has achieved great results on behalf of HPB and is on track to over-achieve the KPIs set in the original contract.”

Separately, HPB appointed Tribal DDB last month to revamp its Breath.sg youth portal.
