Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Maggie Lu as managing director of its Shanghai office, effective immediately.
Lu joined H+K in 2006 and has led the agency’s corporate communications and integrated marketing teams for the past decade. She was promoted to Shanghai deputy MD in 2015, and she strengthened existing relationships with long-standing clients such as Coca-Cola, whilst securing significant new business wins.
She reports into QC Liang, H+K China president & CEO, who said: “We encourage a promote-from-within culture at H+K and Maggie has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities in her 18 months as deputy MD. I’m delighted to be able to promote her to the vital, and much-deserved position of MD.”
He added: “H+K China has exciting growth plans for 2017 and I feel confident having Maggie alongside me to help provide the focus and support that will see us achieve further success for our clients and our teams.”
Lu joined H+K from journalism background, graduating with a BA in International Journalism and gaining more than five years' experience at China Daily.
